For the past year, we've been sponsoring and helping a small company produce a film called "Beyond the Brink" about water challenges, climate change and the impacts on Central Valley agriculture and workers. Tonight, UC Merced hosted the first showing of the film at an event sponsored by it's Sierra Nevada Institutes. My former Water Commission member Armando helps run the Institute so its was good to see him again too. I was in Sacramento for the day and ran into my colleague Jennifer who mentioned that she was making the trek down to Merced that evening to see the film too. So I was able to hitch a ride with her and Paul, another former Water Commission member.
