This time, we parked our car in Concord and took BART into San Francisco. On the train back, there was a group of three teen/preteen kids who were being annoying to most of us, but particularly bothersome to woman who was seated next to us. She did her best to ignore them, but that only seemed to get them more determined to bother her. While the rest of us did nothing, a guy in his 20s confronted them in a really calm way, and to my surprise, the kids finally settled down. I'm always amazed when someone has the temperament to step into a situation, and even more amazed when they can diffuse a situation.
