We day-tripped around the Albany area today, even tracking down some property that was part of a bad land deal our ancestors made several hundred years ago. But Lisa pointed out that it was actually a very good thing - for had things gone well with the land purchase, our family might not have had the good sense to head west.

By mid-afternoon, we decided we wanted Thanksgiving dinner after all. Thankfully, we made it to a neighborhood market just before closing, and then cooked a delicious meal at Lisa's place.
