I remember watching mom and dad sketch an addition to our house on a lined yellow notepad: two new bedrooms, a full bathroom and study area on top of a widened garage. It seemed like just a few weeks later, Bob Groom had finalized the plans and started construction on much needed extra space for the house. Here are Jerry and me on the first night in our new bedrooms.
