This week was all about finding furniture and accessories for Jenny and Dave's new lakehouse. The first big find was a log-themed futon Jenny spotted for sale about an hour east of Siren at a little lakeside resort. Getting it was an adventure in itself—we had to disassemble it to get it out of the house and load it into the car, with the help of a friendly neighbor.

 Thankfully, our rental car situation worked out in our favor; when the reserved car wasn’t available at MSP, they gave us a giant Jeep Cherokee instead. Even then, the futon didn’t quite fit until we slid the front seats up a couple of inches, just enough to close the back. Phew!

At the end of the week, we tackled assembling the bunk beds that had been delivered in large boxes. It took several hours and a few missteps (I’m blaming the poorly written instructions), but we finally got it all set up on the last day before heading home.
