After walking just a few blocks in Brooklyn, it was clear that my Keds were not going to cut it. So I stopped in a Park Slope shoe store and picked up a pair of more appropriate footwear while Lisa bought some books next door.  We put my old Keds and the books in a bag and then spent the next couple of hours walking around the neighborhoods and Prospect Park before stopping for coffee. It was there that we left our bag of shoes and books in the outdoor seating area. We didn't realize it until that evening, but Lisa called first thing Monday morning and we headed back out to Brooklyn to retrieve our goods. Good thing I had great shoes.
