I made a long overdue trip to Sacramento to see Maya. She's grown so much in the past two months - sitting up, standing, trying to walk, turning the pages of her books, and eating solids. For dinner, Danny and Emi surprised me by planning an evening at Lemon Grass, which is still my favorite restauarant in Sacramento. I first met the owner, Mai Pham, when we she was working in the Deukmejian Administration and convinced her to cover my speechwriting duties during my maternity leave after Danny was born.  Tonight, as luck would have it, she was in the kitchen tonight and came out to spend a bit of time with us and to meet (grown-up) Danny. A full circle moment.
