This morning, I couldn’t find my wallet. It wasn't in my purse or anywhere obvious in my bedroom or kitchen.   But that's why I have airtags on everything. One quick check told me it was in the house - good news - but I still couldn't find it or hear the beep. Maybe I left it in the car yesterday? So I drove the car out of the garage and a couple of blocks away and checked the app - which said the wallet was back at the house. Hmmm Kept looking to no avail. But then I remembered that I had thrown away a trash bag when I got home yesterday. My phone doesn't get service in the garage, but using my work Mi-Fi gave me the signal I needed. I walked into the trash room and suddenly the app started giving me distance readings. My wallet was indeed in the dumpster. Had to get and then arrange two step ladders - one to climb in and one to get out - and fell in the process (not badly). But after a few minutes, found the bag AND my wallet in it. Phew and eww.
