Most every year, Becca organizes a get together for our Linda Vista classmates. Years ago, I didn't really appreciate the value of these connections, but as time passes, I love the chance to see and catch up with my forever friends. We have little in common at this point, except that our hearts are anchored in those elementary school experiences and that always brings us together.

This year, the party was at Becca's childhood home, which her brother Kevin and his husband Michael have carefully and beautifully restored to its mid-century modern glamour.

Of course the funniest part was when Dawn came flying around the corner into the kitchen and pointed to a corner. "And this used to have the shelves where Mrs. Ennis kept her cartons of Parliaments. I always thought that was so cool."
