Most years, my birthdays are pretty low-key celebrations with family and a few friends. But this year's day coincided with a long-planned girls weekend at the condo, a night at the Hollywood Bowl, side trips to San Pedro and Crystal Cove, a Dodgers game, and an unexpected visit with cousins Amanda and Hank (who were down here for a baseball tournament that they won!)
