Even though all the nursing students have been vaccinated for months, today's pinning ceremony was still done with all the COVID-19 precautions - masks, social distancing, one student at a time with two guests, and no actual pinning by the school officials. No matter. Katie had decided long ago that she wanted Jenny to pin her. Jenny even postponed by one day a trip to the Midwest for her dad's birthday so she could join us and do the honors. Afterwards, we gathered back in Long Beach for a celebratory lunch with Dave, Jerry and Alex. I couldn't be more proud.
