When we did the math, we realized it's been (eeek!) 40 years since Pam, Marilyn and I worked for the Central City Association. Our offices were in the Pacific Mutual Building which shares the block with the Biltmore Hotel. Today, we met for brunch at a small bakery next door and then wandered through the Biltmore, around downtown, and eventually up to see all the development that's taken place on Bunker Hill during the past four decades. As we were getting ready to head home, someone walked out of our old building and we grabbed the door before it closed. It was surreal to retrace our steps through the beautiful lobby and up the staircase to where our offices once were.
