We pulled up to the gates of the Franklin Roosevelt Historical Site at about 5:05pm. The entrance sign noted a 5pm closing time, but we kept driving and noticed a few other people on the grounds. We parked and there was still no one to stop us as we started walking down the path to the presidential library and family home. I had been here many (many) years ago with our family on an East Coast trip. But I'd forgotten just how beautiful and impressive the home is.
