This weekend definitely put me into the holiday spirit - making an old family recipe for steamed persimmon pudding, assembling the elf village and stringing up the outside lights, driving into Guerneville to see the town's Christmas tree, and then settling down to watch our favorite movie for the season, The Bishops Wife.
