It feels like the world changed so much this week. Last week's cautious optimism about everyone's health and safety quickly proved completely naive, and each day brought new warnings, restrictions, cancellations and new phrases like 'social distancing' and 'flattening the curve.' Almost overnight, most schools and colleges switched to online classes and dorms closed, so Katie moved home. Lisa came to California for spring break, not knowing exactly when she would return to Albany. We stocked up on essentials like food and cleaning supplies - and puzzles. Enought to get us through a couple of weeks. Some moments were too scary to fathom. Occasionally, it felt normal but not for very long.
