I remember our family went waterskiing there once when I was in junior high or high school and the water was sooo cold. And I presented an award to the local high school around 2000 or so, but didn't get to spend anytime on the water.
We had a nice lunch overlooking the water and then took an hour-long boat tour to learn about the lake and see the homes of many celebrities. Katie and I were both a bit stressed with the number of passengers who were not wearing their masks on board. But the weather was nice enough that we could hang our heads out the windows.
All in all, a good mini-adventure to quench our growing thirst for travel.
