Like most people this year, we were connected to our families on Christmas only by phone, text and Zoom calls as the orders to stay home and stay safe continued. It was a bit sad, but also forced a certain calmness that is unusual for me this time of year. I'm so lucky that Lisa and Katie were here to celebrate, and we took some close-to-home adventures in the days leading up to Christmas - Altadena's Christmas Tree Lane, the Lights of OC event at the fairgrounds, Duffy rides, early morning secret deliveries to Dee and Meena in San Diego, and then time at home on Christmas Day to open presents, eat, and talk with the rest of the family who are all over the state.
