Bangkok, Thailand
December 24-29, 2019
It started with plates of fresh fruit the minute we walked in the door
and never stopped. Three highlights were: - Street food samosas made fresh at a small cart new Chinatown. Before we set out that morning, Craig told us about this hidden gem that one of his friends, a renowned restaurant critic, had said were among the best in the world. "Better than anywhere in India," he told us. - On our first visit in 2008, we fell in love with The Little Kitchen, a restaurant tucked in department store hallway down the street from where Judy and Craig lived at the time. We wondered if it would still be there (it is) and if the food would still be great (it is). - Up in Chiang Mai, we had two of our meals at a place called The Garden. It's a family-run restaurant in the front yard of their home. The food was simple but good. And it was a beautiful and relaxing setting. |
