I think Elton John was my first concert (or maybe it was Michael Jackson), and then I saw him once in Sacramento in the 1990s. But this farewell tour concert was the best of the three, perhaps because the music has been so much a part of my life for decades.

Near the end of the concert, Elton mentioned that his kids' godmother, Lady GaGa was in the audience. And we got a glimpse of her in the front row, dancing along. But even she didn't upstage the great showman.
