She'd been in the Denver airport before, including one unplanned overnight stay when a snowstorm and poor airline planning interrupted her flight home a couple of years ago. But that didn't count.
Today's trip made it official. Our first stop was in the town of Boulder, which we both loved. We told several people about the 50-state milestone and our waitress even comp'd Lisa with a beer from a local brewery.

From there, we drove an hour north to Estes Park which sits at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, and enjoyed some live music and the fireworks from our quirky hotel.
